What time is Youth Innovation Day and where can I find the program?
Programming for Youth Innovation Day runs from 8:00am - 3:30pm on Mar 12th, 2019. The jam packed agenda can be found here.
When is the deadline to register?
Once you have been sent your code to register, you will have until February 15th register your students and chaperones. Registration for Youth Innovation Day is available on a first-come first-serve basis. At this time, we only excepting applications from schools in the Okanagan, and Northern BC regions. All other regions are welcome to submit an application to be considered for the waitlist, here. Schools will be notified if additional spots open up in the order they applied on February 18th.
Will students have access to the Marketplace to check out all the exhibitors?
Yes, we are tailoring the programming to include opportunity for the youth to explore the various industries represented within the marketplace. Programming for Youth Innovation Day runs from 8:30am-3:30pm on Mar 12th, 2019.
Can the students participate in the rest of the #BCTECHSummit?
Youth Innovation Day is a specially tailored one-day program for students and does not permit admittance to other #BCTECHSummit event components.
Who will be hosting the workshops at Youth Innovation Day?
We have various industry partners who will delivering workshops at Youth Innovation Day. They will be updated on our sponsor page. All contracted workshop providers and volunteers are subjected to a criminal record review conducted by the Criminal Records Review Program (CRRP) to ensure the safety of all student attendees.
Will food and drink be available?
Youth Innovation Day @ #BCTECHSummit supplies lunch, and a morning and afternoon snack. There will also be water stations available throughout the Vancouver Convention Centre and students will be provided with reusable water bottles. It is recommended that students eat breakfast before attending the event. If the student group is travelling from out of town, we suggest students budget for purchasing dinner after the Youth Innovation Day concludes as it ends before 3.30pm.
