ZERO WASTE INITIATIVE
Youth Innovation Day @ #BCTECH Summit is committed to running a zero-waste event. Through our reusable water bottle campaign and hard drive recycling initiatives, wind power offsets and paper-free agenda, we’re honouring the province’s commitment to becoming a global leader in cleantech and sustainability.
REUSABLE WATER BOTTLES
In our quest to reduce our carbon footprint we encourage students to bring a reusable water bottle with them.
WIND POWER OFFSET
This year, Bullfrog Power, Canada's leading green energy provider and Environmental Sponsor of the #BCTECHSummit, will provide wind power offsets over all three days.
PAPER FREE AGENDA
We're going paperless again this year! In order to reduce our paper consumption, carbon footprint and emissions, all program information will live within our Mobile App.
RECYCLE YOUR HARD DRIVES
Do you have unwanted electronics that hold sensitive data? Do you want to ensure your data is taken care of? The Electronic Recycling Association, a non-profit organization dedicated to the reduction of e-waste, will be exhibiting at the #BCTECH Summit. Don't forget to bring your unwanted hard drives, phones, and discs to shred for FREE!
The #BCTECHSummit is delivered by the Government of British Columbia and Innovate BC, a Crown Agency.
